Quilt Historian & Appraiser Julia Zgliniec will share her extensive knowledge of Victorian quilts & quilt history.
A lifelong love of art and handwork has led to a career as a professional quiltmaker, instructor, fabric designer, and appraiser, certified by the American Quilter’s Society.

Although she was taught to sew at an early age by her paternal Grandmother, it was not until an adult education class in quiltmaking in 1982 that these loves came together. In 1985, she was persuaded to teach by a San Diego quilt shop owner and has been teaching ever since. She also exhibited her work in local and national shows and appeared in national publications including American Quilter and Quilter’s Newsletter Magazine.
Julia has been teaching various classes in quilting and textile history since 1986.She has 10 years of experience appraising quilts and related textiles. Visit her website for more details.
